Just a note about our name......
Blue Scars were the trademarks of generations of colliers that worked in the South Wales Coalfields. These occurred when coal dust collected under the skin in cuts and grazes and could not be washed away. Although these hardworking men never received the full value for their labour they wore these scars as badges of honour.
We use this name not only as a tribute to the past generations that formed our culture but also as a recognition of the work ethic and dedication demonstrated by our artists.
