Fran studied art and design at Llwyn-y-Bryn Art College and then after noticing quite an illustrative streak in her work enrolled on the General illustration degree at Swansea Metropolitan University. This is where Fran’s work came to life with an introduction to digital media and its application to artwork.
After her degree she was asked to come back to work as the 'Artist in residence' for the illustration course, and has spent the last year doing so as well as working on her portfolio, entering competitions, open exhibitions both locally and nationally.

The re-curing themes in Fran's work are of an ethereal nature, looking at the relationship we have with ourselves and each other, ever changing and evolving as we constantly discard old behaviours and discover new ways of perceiving and experiencing life, in an attempt to de-code the mystery of our existence.

Fran creates both original paintings and digital art sold either as originals or as part of a limited edition print run. The majority of images you see in Fran’s work are created on glass; this allows her to communicate the feeling of fluidity in life, a changing identity at surface level and beyond.
